Why won't Virtual PC or Virtual Server work on my machine?
I have used Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 and Virtual PC 2004 on a number of notebooks and servers without issue. But my Toshiba Satellite M25 Tablet PC convertable running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 will simply not install Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 (it hangs and does something funky with the network card) or properly install Virtual PC 2004 (again it does not recognize the network card exists). It's very strange. I'll investigate further with Toshiba and Microsoft later but for now it gives me an excuse to try out a piece of software I hear great things about. I'm about to give VMWare Workstation a whirl. I let you know...
