Twin Cities Code Camp
As I write this I am at 39,000 ft. returning from Minneapolis. Does this sound like a post from last week? It starts the same and has a number of elements in the middle that are similar and I guess ends somewhat the same as well.
This week I flew out to Minneapolis for a few different reasons. Friday morning I did a chalk and talk with Magenicons on VSTS and TFS. It was a fun session. I only had a couple of hours which turned out to be just enough to get some important information disseminated. Then it was off to see a large enterprise client for another two hour presentation on, you guessed it, VSTS and TFS. This was less chalk and talk and more just talk, war stories, lessons learned, and touching on some best practices. As a group they seem well engaged which is always nice.
Then came Saturday which is the entire reason why I had gone to the Twin Cities to begin with- to speak at the first ever Twin Cities Code Camp. It was by any account a resounding success. We had a great set of speakers, about 150 people in attendance and awesome prizes. Jason Bock had put it all together. Way to go Jason!
The New Horizons facility in Edina hosted us. What a very nice facility they have. I, of course, spoke on programming using the VSTS SDK.
I think I may do a talk on Spec# soon. That would be cool.
Now home to see the wife and triplets… woohoo.
