TFS 2008 on Windows Server 2008

Today I am doing some install and run tests of TFS 2008 on Windows Server 2008. I just finished installing the OS and now need to get it configured into my home network. What is interesting that I am running it under Virtual Server 2005 R2 on Windows 2003 when Windows Server 2008 has its own much touted but delayed virtualization built into the system. I'm just not ready to move my single physical server over to Windows Server 2008. I did run the machine in dual boot mode for a while with a much earlier beta of Longhorn on the machine and all went well. I'll likely do the same again and once I have my home network established back to where it was under 2003 I'll drop the 2003 server off. I really only use the physical server OS to host virtual server and every other server I am testing in the network is virtualized.

Now off to finalize configs and start the TFS 2008 install. I'll report back in a bit I hope.

I work in an agency that had the chance to chat with the Microsoft developers behind Windows Server 2008.

Check out the vids here:
