Rediscovering the Obvious

An occasional journey through one man's perspectives as he fumbles along in the footsteps of many great men.

Why the title?

I've spent the last three years as a software professional learning how to manage software, and how to lead teams of programmers, and how to be a better programmer myself. At every step, I discover great new advances and important new perspectives that will change the industry. As soon as I do this, I go find the articles that the masters have written 30 years ago. Every step I take helps me to realize that I am utterly indebted to the many men and women that have come before me, and have chosen to share their wisdom through books, blogs, journals, and research leadership.

This is my humble attempt to pay it forward.
